Toasters: guitar vs bass guitar

Post by RonLovesRic12strings »

What are the differences between Toaster PUPS for guitar and Toaster PUPS for bass guitar? Do they both have 6 poles, or does the bass guitar version have 4 poles? Can they be used interchangeably?

They are the same other than the aluminum plate on the bottom is threaded (machine screws) on a bass for the pickup adjustment. Guitar toasters are drilled through for wood screws. I believe that the former 400 series guitars would use a threaded plate. They all have 6 poles.

The only difference it the base plate has threaded holes for machine screws in the bass toaster vs. slightly larger non-threaded holes for wood screws in the guitar toaster.
