does this look like a real Ric toaster pickup?

This is one of the newer toaster pickups, I think. I'm wondering, though, because it has these little circular markings on the corners of the pickup.

Are they supposed to be there? Real?

thanks much -

Post-2000 or so. Dimples = 7.4k ohm scatterwound.

These are "knockout pins" and a vestige of the injection-molding process used in making the bobbin. Real old ones had 'em, and the newest ones have 'em. My guess is that the bobbins had to be re-tooled, and RIC decided to go back to a vintage look in the process.

Very happy they decided to go the extra mile on those - I love the look.
