When Was Mike Pender's Rickenbacker Stolen

Post by admin »

Mike Pender's Rose-Morris Model 1993 12-string was stolen from the Lafayette Club in Wolverhampton (UK). I am wondering if anyone knows on what date this instrument went missing. I have a photo of Mike with this instrument and I believe the photo to be from 1966.

The Rickenbacker Registration Page has recently received information from Mike Pender who addressed the theft of his Rose-Morris Model 1993 12 string. Mike wrote Quote:The Rick was stolen from a Club in Wolverhampton and I believe it was 1969. The Road Manager at the time as a guy called Chris Cotterel and I have never forgiven him!!!! Needless to say from that moment on I have never left my guitar with road crew.!!!!!!! I bought the guitar which was specially ordered for me from Crane's Music Store in Liverpool and I can assure you even to this day I still wish I had it to play.

RJHC: Yes it was used on "When You Walk In The Room" and according to Mike it was used extensively on recordings and at performances thereafter.
