Randall Commander I

Post by octagon »

I got a new(used) amp It's a 1970s Randall RG120-115 aka The Commander I. It's sort like a solid state version of a Fender Vibroverb. It has 120 watts 15" speaker in closed back cabinet. The long reverb tank gives the amp a lush sound and full range tremelo is fantastic. Before I found this I never new a solid state amp could sound this good and it was dirt cheap too (under $200). You can still down load the owners manual from Randalls website

I haven't used one, but the lead guitarist in my old band back in the 1970s used one. I don't remember the model, but it had good sound and it was plenty loud. 8)
