I see that the Seeburg amp offers a choice between cathode-biased and fixed biasing. Nice touch. 8)

Hey Tube_Fan John, do you have any experience running an l-pad between the amp and the speaker to get a saturated sound at lower volumes? Cheap enough to build but for the life of me I can’t find a decent a-b test to see the efficacy. I’m looking at slapping one together for my 24w Supro and one for an Orange AD30.

I never used an Ipad. I have some laptops. I have one connected to a Lepai amp and some speakers via the head phone jack.

D’oh! I should have used a capital L. An L pad is a simple attenuator that shunts a certain amount of signal as heat. I’ve never had a chance to use an attenuator on anything myself. And sorry for the thread jack!

LPAD. I've used those with midrange speakers and tweeters. I never used them with a guitar amp.
Here's a 100W LPAD.

We are on the verge of buying a new 2022 model year car. Scary, all the "Save You From Yourself" technology in these things, now. And, not even a real, reliable mechanical parking brake; they are electric with a small switch and motors (I'm sure there is software involved, too) to clamp down on the rear brakes. Just because they can do something, doesn't mean they should. I guess the car companies have a whole lot of IT and software engineers on the payroll that has to do something to justify their jobs. I have read about software/firmware updates that occur automatically that may actually disable the car due to bugs or unsuccessful downloads.
