Still one of my favorite songs. :D I saw them in '72 with Steeleye Span as the opening act. :D :D :D

So very cool to see the Hammond that prominent for a change...the LesPaul seems extra-superfluous.

I remember back in the day when "A Whiter Shade Of Pale" [1] was competing with Scott McKenzie's "San Francisco" [2] for the top spot on the Aussie hit parade. I loved [1] and absolutely loathed [2]. When [2] finally took over the top spot I think I actually shed a tear or two.

Certainly one of the classics, Jeff.

I still gather as much Gary Brooker and Matthew Fisher material as I can find.

You bet! I was listening to the "One More Time" version of "A Salty Dog" done live in Utrecht just the other day. Must drag out the Edmonton album for another listen too. :D

...you are not alone in appreciating this classic tune. Amazing thing here is that the Fabs didn't score higher in the ranking

I guess Gary Brooker has bought a fair few swimming pools over the years off the back of this one....good on him! :D

Gotta disagree with you, Scott.

Yyyyeah, that's the one. That's the song we used to dance to in kindergarten (the "ducklings version"). Awww, sweet memories!
