This is interesting. Especially to avid Floyd fans.

Pink Floyd Pig Flies Once More
Cool !!
Long may it fly !! Coincidentally we were enjoying the great Gilmour guitar work on "Animals" in the car yesterday when we were driving around on some errands. Its one of those classic albums that needs to be played more frequently.
There was a controversy about the pig a few years ago when the Waters-Gilmour legal dispute was at it's height and Waters was trying to prevent the others from touring as Pink Floyd. And if I recall, Gilmour won the rights to use a pig balloon as a stage prop, because Gilmour insisted that the balloon pig the latter-day Floyds used, specifically have male genetalia. While the original plastic pig balloon, linked to the original Animals tour, was non-gender specific. The transcripts of that court case would probably bring some laughs ..... imagining some English solicitors in their robes and white wigs, and all proper, raising interrogatories about certain aspects of the hind quarters of this pig balloon compared to that pig balloon

Pig was male and on tour with Pink Floyd in 1988 while Waters was doing his own thing.8mileshigher wrote:Cool !!
