Re: S.O.S.
Memories ... driving my sister's lime green AMC Pacer, listening to ABBA on an 8-track (full volume ... all 5 watts/channel)
Yeah, I was cool, polyester paisley & all..
PS: Her 8-track tape collection included Captain & Tenille, of course!

Re: S.O.S.
Yeah, a lot of the people who publicly despised ABBA back then now admit to secretly liking them. The Top-40 road band I was in at the time had a pair of (twin) sisters. So, it was only natural for us to do a bunch of ABBA songs: Waterloo, S.O.S., Mamma Mia, Dancing Queen, and Knowing Me, Knowing You - come to mind. Hearing Agnetha hit her share of flat notes in this video reminded me of the twins - one typically sang flat, one typically sang sharp. The one who sang flat had a sinus issue where the "M" sound would come out like a "B", so it was "Bobba Bia" that we did every night. Still makes me laugh remembering that. Good stuff.
