Ric 360/12 on 2 tracks...

Post by arrow201 »

..this will show my age...influence is obvious Image

super cheap computer recording using Pro Audio 9, sound card is
the SoundBlaster Live! The mic was plugged directly into
the sound card. The only real instruments are my Ric 360/12wb
used on 2 tracks and a Yamaha 12 string acoustic. The rest, i
bang out using an old DX27 keyboard for midi only, the midi
sounds are via free "SoundFonts" i picked up at various web
sites

Welcome to the forum Gordon.

I wish I could listen to it, but for whatever reason, it wont play on my computer!
'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.

Tony, I initiallly saw an error message on my screen, but I hit the Stop button in IE, then I hit the Go button, and then the connection was made (I had to press the Play button to hear the song). I wish the webpage would have told me immediately (instead of later) to use Firefox instead of IE!

Welcome to the Forum, Gordon. My initial impression is "Lennon meets R.E.M. with McGuinn playing along". Nicely done!

Nicely done Gordon! Very identifiable influences. Pretty darn clean for a "cheap" computer recording. Nice production.

A very nice job! You sound a lot like JL.

I like the tone of the Rick and you definitley do have a JL resemblence! The overall quality wasn't bad either.

It's like a fusion of JL, GH, and RM brought into the modern world...I love it!
