Converting WAV, MP3, etc files to CD

What do you use to convert wav, mp3 files to a cd format that can play in a CD player?

itunes

1. put the track in itunes

2. choose "Advanced" , it should be an option below :)

I use both Nero and Movavi Video Suite, which does audio as well.

+1 It's the 'canned' software version that came with the DVD/CD burner that I installed in my PC.

Nero works quite well. you could also use Windows Media Player if you're on a PC.

Thanks guys! I'm using WMP with my new Dell Studio but the file doesn't seem to convert to a CDA file it comes over as a WAV file! Is there (by chance :oops: ) something that I'm doing wrong or need to do?

Are you creating an audio CD or a data CD that contains the .WAV files? A data CD will not work.

How old is your stereo's CD player?

Hmmmmmmm. My 1985 Sony CDP-302 recognizes .WAV files just fine. :?

When you burn the CD, are you doing a multi-session burn or are you closing the CD session?

A multi-session burn may not read correctly with some players.
