Hey gang. Here's the first song in a collection I'm starting about Washington, DC's Metro public transit system, focusing on the rail stops. This song, National, refers to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. Enjoy!

MetroSongs - #1: National
Re: MetroSongs - #1: National
A mellow song about the Metro? I have taken it a few times. I remember a very long stairway at one of the stations, I think the one near the National Zoo.
Re: MetroSongs - #1: National
Yes, they have ridiculously long ascends*. Was the escalator out?
*Can that be used as a noun?

We like to walk given the choice, actually.
Re: MetroSongs - #1: National
Jason, makes me wanna come down and ride the darn thing! I love that long ride up! I have walked it a couple of times but usually save the walking for the zoo.

Re: MetroSongs - #1: National
The words: "Who's on the take??? This is insane" never sounded sweeter! HA! Love it.
"Why do we have to pay, when nothing is changing..."
Are you sure this song isn't about the New York Metro?
