Dog Fight

Post by walker »

This is a cover of a cool Seattle band from the mid 90s - 'Lucky Me.'

Dog Fight

They've been disbanded for quite awhile, but I still know the main singer/songwriter French Walker, (no relation) and thought it would be fun to cover this song, particularly for the challenge of working around all the dirty words that Miss French originally recorded. Plus, it's one of my faves from the Lucky Me album. (never released due to one of those awful record label implosions that you read about, but hope never happens to you.)

For all the "dirty" words, I sang some of them with a big piece of blue 2" masking tape over my mouth, which has a more audible effect than putting your hand over your mouth. The tape method didn't last long, so for the rest of the "trouble words" I sang through a kazoo. I think this distinction confirms that I'm indeed certifiable, for those who had any doubt.

Instruments are just bass, drums, and vocals.
