Acid jazz with a Ric? Yep.

Post by cassius987 »

Check out the sketch I developed tonight after picking up a USB keyboard (to finally have something better than musical typing for software instruments). This is a work in progress I hope to mature into a full-fledged song for my new project. The flute solo is warts and all from one of three takes, I chose the one I felt was "grooviest" instead of mashing them together. The Ric is a 4001FL with the mid Toaster pickup soloed (it's in the Jazz Bass neck pickup position).

I'd put this in the Experimental/Minimal section rather than Acid or Trip Hop, but, enjoyable nonetheless. There are some good ideas here.

Cool. Yeah, that fretless is great with this chillout stuff.
