Time Machine - JPS

Post by jps »

This was the second song I ever wrote, with the assistance of a good friend of mine, in the Fall of 1974. This started as two acoustic guitars while Steve wrote the lyrics a bit later. This version was recorded in a small 16 track studio for a college class project. For this Recording Engineering class we had to do a recording project and I decided to do my own song given we had the studio at our disposal (Harrison console, MCI 2" machine, plus all the other goodies of a nicely equipped studio circa 1983).

I played most of the guitars and bass parts, and synths. A friend of mine (a forum member) played one solo guitar part, a synth track, and piano; another friend did the drums and hand percussion, and Steve's sister (another longtime friend) sang on this.
