What kind of acoustic is Johnny Marr playing here?

It has a weird f-style mandolin look, and says Elvis Costello on the fretboard. Anyone know what it is?
Great Ramp In My Opinion.

One with long skinny strings?
Since it's just lipsynch, there no way of knowing whether thats the guitar that we hear on the sound track.

A Ferrington, maybe?

Could be a Ferrington. Dig the Tal Farlows scroll and Burns-ish peghead scroll. Crazy little custom job.

I'm not thinking that its a guitar he used on the recording, I'm just curious what make/model it is. Originally I think the acoustic parts were recorded on the J-160E and there are a lot of overdubs, but some are done on his 1962 Epiphone Coronet in nashville tuning.brammy wrote:One with long skinny strings?

It does have the Ferrington-style sound hole. Looks like it has a chrome bridge of some kind, like maybe a hardtail strat bridge? Really strange!! I'm looking for info so I can add it to the gear overview here.kennyhowes wrote:A Ferrington, maybe?

Found it! It was a custom Danny Ferrington guitar. Thanks to Kenny for sending me in the Ferrington direction!
