Hi and thanks everyone for the warm welcome back.

Well, lots goin on...... Trying to save the house, we(UMG) are getting outsourced to HP, so I need to find another gig, hopefully with HP in field service.......wife hasn't worked since 12-07 but our sec at church is retiring so she is gonna be the new sec, few hours and small pay, but a job!

I have finally settled upon my bass rig. I am using a Pignose G40V 40 watt tube amp and the Ampeg Portabass 2x12.
The Rick is still kickin, and I now own a 5 string 94 Korean Non-Reverse thunderbird with P/J pups. You don't see many of those, and it is my fave pup config. They seem to have more testosterone than the Fender P/Js. And it has a skinny neck so it feels a LOT like the 4-2-5 Rick.

I have also been workin on my Dot Studio. I put a P90 in between the two humbuckers, wired to the output. Each pup now has vol/tone, and this thing sounds SWEET! The rig for it is now a Pignose G60VR 60 watt tube amp running into a 2x12 Fender cab with Fender Special Designs (Eminence Legends by and large according to Eminence). The Pignose tube amps were only made for a couple of years due to the economy so they are diamonds in the rough. Designed by the Ampeg guy to be much like the bassman circuit for Pignose, but made in China. Oh, and I am using Chromes on both basses and the dot!

I need to get some better pix on my photobook page, hopefully this weekend.

My latest horsetrade was a 73 Bassman 10 for a 99 made in USA DeVille 2x12, straight trade. I only paid a little over 300 for the bassman so I made out like a bandit. I have to replace the input jack and I already replaced the tubes (original power tubes!) in the DeVille. The speakers are nice and broke in!!!
