Are you saying "ric360" is not a unique password around here?

Someone posted that link on FB as well.

Why be on FB if you put everything to "Only Me"?
In effect it will be like not being on FB as nobody will be able to see anything you do.
And what they can see they can not comment on...

...only access to friends comments, photos, videos etc remain.
One way traffic, not very social, if you ask me.

I have created groups with different access rights, suits me well, beats being overly paranoid of people you accepted as "friend" if you ask me.

Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and sympathy.

My password contained numbers and letters so not sure to be honest. I don't think I can do anymore now except be more careful......I do not use that hotmail address any longer and have 2 gmail accounts, using one for friends and one for other stuff. I will change my password regularly, but it is impossible to remember all the different ones so have to write them down.

I am really surprised and annoyed at how easy it was to change the bank "secure" online password as the only security is my dob which is open to all and sundry everywhere!! I think they got this through facebook. My name is unusual so i suppose it was quite easy to find me.

I am convinced hotmail was the culprit and the police said it had the hallmarks of a professional job.

......just thought....someone had my password for my broadband and was downloading lots of MBs on my account. It happened twice and so I had to change all the username and passwords. BT insisted someone had looked at my password whilst they were in my flat but no-one has been able to do that without me knowing...i don't believe that.

Ah well. I have (mostly) got over the shop, but I don't want to use my card online again!!
