One thing to keep in mind...I'm a little nervous around dogs, but I know the rule to let them smell me before I touch them. It's the Chihuahuas I can't stand, and coincidentally, they hate me, too. Dachshunds, too, creep me out, but if they're well behaved, I'll make friends with them.

Thanks, CJ. About a hundred years ago, her breed used to be pretty useful on the farm, keeping the barn free from rats. But soon after they found out what great companions they are and they've been mostly decorating the laps of proper English ladies ever since.
