Gibson challenges Xbox and PS3!!
Is this because they couldn't get any Royalties for using the Les Paul gtr shape on the ROCK BAND controllers?

On a *very* similar vein, my son got Rocksmith a couple days ago. He's already playing Stones and BOC riffs. The wife might start playing it so that she can finally learn to play guitar. She's always wanted to learn, so now we've got an easy tool for her to learn with. I welcome this digital development.

I see these as an end result of teaching folks to read. I learned by listening to records like most everyone else. The downfall to that is (while I've got a great ear) there was gaping holes in my theory as a result of not being able to read. A system like this can easily be adapted to tab, then notation. This can be used as a great learning tool. I think this will be good in the long run.

I can read on treble clef wind instruments, and I haven't read on piano since I quit lessons, I don't like read the music, It takes the fun away (I don't like tabs either)s4001 wrote:I see these as an end result of teaching folks to read. I think this is a great tool; looks both fun and practical.
There is no reason to ever be bored.

It's probably one thing that won't get them in trouble with Fish & Game again ...Ontario_RIC_fan wrote:.. Is this because they couldn't get any Royalties for using the Les Paul gtr shape on the ROCK BAND controllers? ...
