Mike could also marry Rosanne Cash and hyphenate his name to become Mike Love-Cash.....

He claims to have co-written most of the Beach Boys hits (with Brian). Essentially, lyrics. I believe that he has sued to have his name added as co-writer to a number of their songs. Gotta have those royalties....

Mike Love's statement during the Beach Boys inductance ceremony at the R&R HOF awards really soured me on the guy. In perhaps the most notorious speech in Hall of Fame history, Mike Love addressed McCartney's absence that night when the Beach Boys were inducted. "It's sad that there are other people who aren't here tonight," he said. "People like Paul McCartney who couldn't be here because he's in a lawsuit with Ringo and Yoko. That's why he sent in a telegram to some high-priced attorney in the room.

To me, Carl was the soul of the Beach Boys and Brian was the brains. Carl dying took the wind out the sails, but Love firing Brian shot the band in the foot.
