Thanks for the photos, Paul! I'd only seen them in the occasional vintage guitar book.

A Ludwig Vistalite "Tivoli" drum kit would have given the Lightshow boys a run for their money !

Yeah, but on the 331LS the lights respond to what's being played; if only the Tivoli did that! :)

I have joined the Vintage Lightshow club (thanks to Collin, who I've gotten a few of my super cool Vintage Ricks from)

I'm a bass player and am so jealous!! I want a lightshow bass so bad! Even when the lights are off they look cool.

It's an odd thing... when I see basses with front facing LED's on the fingerboard I roll my eyes and think to myself "wow, you really have a need to be noticed don't you?!" I find them awful, ego fueled, and tasteless... but somehow the LS guitars don't have the same affect on me. I just think they are kitchy, cool, charming and innocently psychedelic... and I WANT ONE!! Strange how fine a line it is..(insert Spinal Tap joke here). I'm not sure I understand the difference, but I know it's there! :D

Paul W., if you read this please don't think I'm pestering you in yet another forum topic.... but.... um... er...

please please please.... please make a 4003 LS someday .... someday soonish?

Ok, I'll give it a rest... for a bit :?

I always thought so too. Plus, no two are alike.

PW isn't going to just make one, someone is going to have to commission one from him. Go for it!

This would certainly quicken the process. I started on one to use as a prototype, but it got sidetracked into this:

Because I scored lots of black hardware and wanted to build a fretless.

That begs the question, how much?

I missed this the first time through... While it would be a dream to have one of the 5, I'll have to pass on this one.
Hmmm.. although if I bought it for $30,000 maybe I could make it pay for itself by taking it on a world tour.... Only $100 a ticket to sit in a darkened tent and listen to me play bass lines from all your favorite love songs!
