New Season

Post by captsandwich »

My hockey league starts up next week & I still don't have leg pads for my rookie season as a goalie. Funny how stuff sneaks up on you.

Anybody happen to work for a sporting goods wholesaler, retailer or manufacturer?

Good luck with that, Greg. Personally, I never had the requisite intestinal fortitude to go in net, so kudos to you. I did, however, manage to find a decent hockey team down here in Maryland (no mean feat) and it's been a blast hitting the ice again after a few years off. Most players in these parts are non-indigenous - New Englanders, Great Lakes States-types, and us ex-pat Canucks. There was even one team made up of local Russian scientists. Weird vibe playing them...very "Cold War".
