This is the modern world
Re: This is the modern world
I still have my pair of those, and the red white and blue ones!
Of course they don't fit now, that suede was bugger to keep clean!

Wow, I'm hitting this one late.
Modern World is by far my favorite Jam album, as well as one that I find most consistantly good. The sound of the album is awesome, really like how the guitar and bass fit together tone wise, and really compliment each other. This goes for all of the singles around this time as well.
I don't understand how under rated this album is, or why the press likes to say that it is just like a continuation of In the City. I don't think the 2 albums sound much alike at all, and think Modern World shows a growth both musically and sonically.
I also don't understand why all the fuss about Sound Affects, but I prefer their earlier sound anyways.
Scotty-where's your pic of "Uppers on the South Downs" if your posting Mod comps?
Also, it still baffles the hell out of me how Squire still hasn't got a mention on a Rick site. All of their albums have Ricks on them, and Anthony Maynell has been using them nonstop since 78 or so hasn't he?
well it's ready, steady, go
on my SX200

Good Question as to wy the Squire gets left out Mike.
On a related note, I can't find any video of them on You Tube.
