Re: Here they are
The white 330 can be found on the dealers website.
Originally listed at £1849, now they're £1999!That's more than 50% more than a regular 330/6.
We've waited so long for these, this pricing is like a kick in the teeth.
The first pictures of the Pearl White 330's were put up on Facebook yesterday.
I have to say that there has been absolutely zero buzz or excitement about these guitars over here in the UK, and that is purely down to the extortionate pricing.
Shame.

Re: Here they are
To be fair, we aren't exactly sure of spec etc on the white ones yet (and therefore the price) - so watch this space for the price when the thing lands. Nice spec though with toasters, and gold scratchplates etc.

Re: Here they are
Woops, my bad, didn't know the whities were at Sound Affects!
As for interest in them: people only will be interested if they know about the item - next to that, pictures sell. There's a picture on RIC's FB site, but not yet at Sound Affects.
The specs on these are interesting if they do have gold plastics and toasters. Not sure about the oven knobs on the proto, as I think 5 all-black vintage knobs would look better.
Unfortunately I can only afford it in the year 2525 or somewhere around that time

Re: Here they are
My personal opinion is that I'm not keen on the gold guards and TRC on the pearl white. For me It takes the guitar into tacky Gretsch white falcon territory and Rics have far more style and class about them than that.
White guards with vintage black knobs would be perfect on these. A 'F' hole would certainly make it more unique and 'special' and also add to that classy look. I'd be happy to run with hi gains over the toasters on a 6 string if it meant saving £600 on the price.
Just my personal opinion of course.

White pickguards on a pearlie white guitar? Really??? Horrible!fireglo67 wrote:My personal opinion
The gold goes well with the pearlie white. Regular white pickguard and trc would really look cheap, imo. As for White Falcons, there's been more white & gold guitars...

...or why not just cover the whole thing with "class" trucker stickers?

When it comes to cheap and nasty looking, Gretsch have that market covered. They put dice knobs on their guitars for goodness sake!

Re: Here they are
Yikes. You can buy a REALLY nice vintage piece for that price, or buy a bog standard 330, have it refinished, and add on the goodies with money to spare.fireglo67 wrote:The white 330 can be found on the dealers website.
