Never thought about it, but one has to love the uniqueness of a name such as Benmont Tench! :D

Come to think of it, everyone in the band has a pretty cool combination of first name and surname :) .

I love them all but if I had to pick, it would be Mike Campbell. He is exactly what I want in a lead guitar player - always plays within the song and covers every style you can imagine.

The young Leslie Caron (circa 'Father Goose') ALWAYS breaks my heart. Have you seen early clips from Mazzy Star? Hope Sandoval...

Well, if you're gonna talk film ladies, it's Sean Young, but only in "Blade Runner". After that she oilcanned.

Sean Young is an odd duck, for sure -but she's still quite fetching.

As for the current batch of Hollywood starlets, Natalie Portman is rather dazzling.

I voted Scott Thurston. He's been the glue that has kept the group together, without him they would have been finished a long time ago.
Great Ramp In My Opinion.

Perhaps, but without Tom would it held together?

I love Mike Campbell's incredibly cool playing style-he's one of my favorites. That being said, I know Ron, so I picked him. Just an incredibly nice guy.

I love the way Mike and Benmont play. They never disrespect the song. They almost seem restrained at times. Like they hold back a little something so they don't overshadow the song. Yet they are incredible musicians with a uniques style all their own.

I also love the intimacy. They seem to reserve that intimacy for just themselves. 30 years and still going. I can't think of too many bands that can say that. Keeping a core together like that is so rare and that is what makes these guys one of the best rock and roll bands in history.

Except maybe for LET ME UP I'VE HAD ENOUGH, I can't think of a subpar album, IMO.
