Satellite Radio

Post by rickosound »

Since it hasn't been mentioned, Tom Petty has his own hour-long radio show every Thursday (all day) on channel 2, XM radio. It's called "Buried Treasure". It's an excellent show and you really get the sense that Tom has not only searched for some of the songs, but that he actually takes the time to sit and listen to them as they're played (and doesn't just tape his voice over for the records to play later). Great rock/blues songs that you don't hear much from the 50's and 60's. Check it out. And by the way, we think satellite radio is a great bargain. We bought XM, because we didn't want to give money to Howard Stern. With the impending merger, I guess we will be, but the great musical library we get will offset the downside. Anyway, check out Tom's show.

TP does have a good taste in Classic Rock before himself and not to mention some GREAT taste in the Blues. I've sat through a few episodes of "Buried Treasure" and enjoyed it
