After the gig, Paul and Gorge and some unknown drummer from
Rory Storm's group attempt to strangle Faron.

Saw these guys tonight...... I'd give them a solid 'B', but no higher. They claim to have such a high degree of detailed accuracy, but the show starts off with Brian seeing them at the Cavern for the first time.... and Ringo is in the band. I understand the need for some 'artistic license' in a 2 and a half hour show, but come on.... the Pete Best firing could have been a strong part of the performance. The John character was the strongest of the four, with Ringo second, George third and fourth (unfortunately) a very portly Paul who learned to play left handed bass (stays righty on guitar) for this show and (again unfortunately) it shows. Some other details were annoyingly wrong but were likely not noticed by 98% of the audience...... no natural/gold early 325 for John, only the later black/white one...... for some reason George's 12-string is a black late model 360, not the early model sunburst ..... and George's "SG" was not an SG at all but some similar shaped single pickup job..... and also (a fairly minor point) they played through VOX AC15's, not AC30's..... I can forgive them on this last one since the smaller amps are so much easier travel with. But perhaps my biggest beef was with the sound mixing, especially in the "early Beatles" fist half of the show..... WAY too much distortion (especially on John's guitar) and it really detracted from the sound.

The best Beatles tribute band ever (IMHO) was '1964 as the Beatles' which I was lucky to see a few times back in their heyday around the Boston/New England area in the mid-late 80s. Those guys were really amazing.

This was the last night of a long tour and I think the lads were tired. But the vocals were quality and a good time, while not guaranteed, was had by all (in a less than packed house) here in sleepy Corvallis Oregon.

Here's a cool one I've never seen.

Unfortunately I have no info on this.
Looks like they're behind the curtains waiting for their cue.
I'm guessing 1964 tour?

Fire wall! We had one in the auditorium of my high school. Steel pates filled with asbestos/concrete. Since it was counterweighted it was pretty easy to raise and drop down, just like any other properly counterbalanced batten in the stage rigging.

I agree...... some time in late '64.

Can we make out any of the graffiti?..... could the "GENE" be Gene Vincent?
