2012: George Harrison's Early Beatles-Era Leather Jacket Coming Up for Auction
Re: Groovy Beatles pictures
This earliest known letter written by John Lennon is expected to fetch more than £30,000 at auction next month.
The 11-year-old Lennon put pen to a fold-out note card shortly after Christmas 1951 to thank his Aunt Harriet for the presents she gave him.
These included a book about pirates and famous ships, which he finds "very interesting".
Lennon regularly wrote to his family and friends throughout his Beatles career but the thank you message - with a few grammatical errors - to his mother Julia's younger sister is understood to be his first letter.

I'm in the middle of playing a production of Oliver! right now. Puts me that much closer to reliving a bit of the swinging sixties.brammy wrote:Good one.........POTHOS wrote:Is it Lionel Bart.
Lionel Bart (1 August 1930 – 3 April 1999) was a writer and composer of British pop music and musicals, best known for creating the book, music and lyrics for Oliver!
