Anyone watch Ringo's birthday show? It was entertaining and included his classic self-deprecating humor, valid musical moments with talented friends, and a well meaning slathering of Peace and Love. It was fundamentally a benefit promoting four intelligently chosen causes; Wateraid, Black Lives Matter, The David Lynch Foundation and Musicares. It's easy to interperet Ringo's "Peace and Love" mantra as superficial, but by the end of the program it represented, for me, a deep sincerity grounded in meditation and attention to one's physical well-being.
