New Year's Eve gigs?

Post by songdog »

I'm unwinding from a fun gig in a little cafe in a small town... fun night, and a decent P.A. so I didn't have to haul a cab! The music mostly called for my F***** fretless, but the 4001 was essential on a handful of songs, and sounded great.

Anyone else play out New Year's Eve?
Turn on, tune up, rock out!

Rang in '13 by going to a blues jam at the Academy where I teach. I use the words blues jam advisedly. Because there was a fair amount of what I'd call classic rock mixed in. It was fun nevertheless. Everyone had a good time. Good food, good music, and good friends....it's how New Years' Eve ought to be spent.

We beat the deadline by having a New years's eve, eve, eve party saturday night with our band and 2 others sharing the playing duties. It was at our guitarist's house, and we had about 50 people bringing in food and drink. It was a lot of fun,and we had an interesting jam with band members from different bands at between 1-2a.m.
Edit:for the actual new year's i stayed home after spending most of the day in the car,i was wiped out....
