Hannibal is my first 8 string. At the time thare was no other way to get an eight string bass into Australia.

Love that Bass Eden! It is one of the best sounding eights going around - the octave strings seem to be more prominent than in a lot of eights I've heard - it almost sits between a conventional eight and a 12er in sound. Of course, your technique is also a big input into that effect....

nice chordal playing,there,Eden! and the bass sounds fantastic even on my little computer speakers....dimarzio's are pretty hot pickups,IIRC.

I do often use the multi stringers as an oversize bouzouki for that chordal thing.....

i have no idea about the tune,when i first heard it,it reminded me a bit of some of leo kotke's work,maybe REM?
