Sup RRF! I recently acquired a dream bass, a '94 Ric 4004Ci and it has inspired my to make some more cover videos. Disclaimer, I am doing this next few videos as my character St. Snake from my original band The Gold Web (shameless plug here: https://www.youtube.com/user/TheGoldWeb )

The first installment is John Lennon's 'Nobody Told Me' off of Milk and Honey. Tony Levin played on the record. What you are hearing is the bridge pickup into my GK 800RB, directly into my computer, played with a pick, vol/tone full up.

Please comment, feel free to compliment, disparage, or flat-out despise!

Cool, always loved that song, and bassline. Good job, sounds like flatwounds on your bass?
I have a '98 Ci,with Maxima flatwounds installed,sounds wicked pplayed with a pick.
Ps Congrats on getting your Ci, I became obsessed with one last year, and after 6 monthes snagged it.

Haha, we have a parallel call and response going on here and TB...

Nope, nickel rounds, but palm muting and the humbuckers gets me that flatwound sound. But I prefer to have the roundwounds on there for when I need to get angry
