Welcome to Ruben's New RRF Digs

Post by admin »

I have put all of Ruben Diaz's posts in a single location so that they are easier to see and appreciate. There is a wealth of information here and I am delighted to have Ruben's work here. I am sure that you will agree that his work breathes fresh air into a genre that may not be well-known to many who visit here.

Welcome Ruben.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

I have been reading and watching Rubin's work. Astounding! :D A lot to digest so it is nice to be in small bites.

Me too, and I don't even know how to play guitar! Not that I wouldn't like to though, but I'm just a bass kind of guy...

These videos are great though, gives me a bit of new hope at trying guitar again. My dad could play guitar like that, sadly, he wasn't around long enough to teach me... :(
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Ruben's flamenco guitar playing is simply amazing. There's a lot of technique that those of us who are guitar players can appreciate and perhaps learn.

Congrats Ruben I will continue to follow your posts with extreme interest.

As I said it is my pleasure to share something that is useful for your public and I am very happy that you like what I teach, also because its a completely different style of music, that its not in competition at all with anything, like steel string guitar or electric, its just an exotic style and if people like it ,and can try a bit to play it and have fun, then I think is very complementary to other styles of guitar as well,I am very pleased to participate in any way is beneficial for you in this marvellous forum, and thank you very much for all your kindness and enthusiasm!
