Flamenco & Jazz Toronto “Ruben Diaz Project” Live

Post by rubendiaz »

Friends:

I want to show you a video of a concert in Toronto with special guest flute player Bill McBirnie, and this is on the flamenco – jazz fusion, and is one of my compositions for the “Andalusian Flavor” piece “The Heritage” Tanguillo that is 4/4

This other piece “Chanela” is a rumba by Paco and is based on the arrangement of Paco De Lucias sextet.

I hope you like this fusion, hope not confusion…of flamenco and Jazz.

your friend

Ruben: These performances are most enjoyable. Not confusing, just pleasing.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

As I'm not burdened by the belief that I know anything about either style, I don't find it confusing at all. I'm simply and completely swept away to a different and better place. Masterful solos by all! 8)
All I wanna do is rock!
