Rickenbacker riff

Post by kvalois »

Hi, everyone:

I just discovered "Let My People Go"-- by Roger. It is in the Folk Den and it features a great 12-string Rickenbacker riff several times throughout the song. I have it MOSTLY figured out-- but not the whole thing accurately!
If my ears are not deceiving me, I think that the whole riff is on the "G" string. It starts with picking the open "G" and goes back and forth rapidly, hitting the 3rd, 5th, and 6th frets. But, is Roger quickly picking back and forth BOTH sides of the same string to get that awesome fullness of sound? I think so, but I'm not sure!

Can anyone figure out what he is doing?

Thanks,

Karl
