Sad News: George Boccanfuso Has Passed Away

Post by admin »

Very sad news everyone. Many of you may not have known that George was very ill and in hospital.

He passed away yesterday, peacefully.

I loved his wonderful spirit and love of guitar instrumentals.

His contribution to music and his efforts on the RRF will never be forgotten.

Our condolences go out to his friends and family.

Heaven just got reverb!

You can remember George at his facebook page https://www.facebook.com/george.boccanfuso
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

George really loved his surf tunes, and taught me a thing or two about that style of music. RIP

I only knew him through his posts, but he seemed like a great guy, and undoubtedly one of the biggest fans of surf music. Rest in peace, George.

Very sad indeed. I had the pleasure of meeting George once at a NOM rehearsal and found him to be a lovely guy. No doubt he will be sadly missed by many, many people. RIP George. :(

I will miss my friend George and his spirit. He was always a helpful ear to me in times of distress and a fun guy to talk to when I was elated. Over the course of the years, George and I maintained close kinship in phone calls, text and on FB and I always called him my brother from another. He was a good human being with a loving helpful heart to other humans in his life with his knowledge of music, records, gear, recording and in his personal work with animals. The world will miss this beautiful man and his contributions to improving our humanity.
I will miss my friend who called me "Cam" (a family nickname) and I lovingly called him "G." Rest in peace, my brother.
