My friend said a customer is going to consign a Gretch Bikini 6025 doubleneck at his store. Ever see one(er...2?) of these? He said they come apart and fit into a small case

BIKINI MODEL 6023/6024/6025
- double cutaway slide-and-lock poplar body with detachable poplar center block, available in six-string guitar (Model 6023), four-string bass (Model 6024), or double neck (Model 6025) configurations, bolt-on maple neck, 22-fret maple fingerboard with black dot inlay, blackface headstock with logo with various tuner configurations, adj. ebony bridge, trapeze tailpiece, raised white pickguard with logo, one Hi-Lo 'Tron pickup, volume/tone control, chrome hardware, available in Black finish, mfg. 1961-62

That is amazing :shock: - I hadn't thought Gretsch made anything anywhere near that ugly until the '70s.

One of these Wretsches sold on eBay a couple of years ago for more than you'd think... (I think around $2K...)

Then there's always MY favorite Bikini, the Wandre:

It's at my friend Jim Harms store in Golden Valley MN.It come's apart and fits in that case.

I saw a "partial" one many moons ago when I was high school in an old electronics re-sale shop (every once in a while the shop had some musical equipment). They had the double-neck body but only one of the necks. I can't remember if it was the bass or the guitar, but regardless it was cool.
Expect nothing and you'll never be disappointed (and I mean that in an optimistic way).
