Strings for a 650?

Post by eatswodo »

I've been playing the heck out of my 650D since I received it about 3 weeks ago, and am thinking ahead to the inevitable first string change. According to the manual, it has Compressed Round Wound strings, gauges 10-42 as stock.

These gauges feel just fine to me, although I'm used to something slightly heavier. I've used D'Addarios on my electric guitars for years, but am interested in the experience of others. Anyone tried Elixir Nanowebs on a Rick? I have them on my Martin, and just love them....

Hi Dave,

I just had my first string change in October. I went from the stock 10'42's on my 360 to Fender 11's (no truss rod adjustment required) and will try out some pyramid flats next. I'm still in the process of finding "the string" for my Ric.

Good luck.
