Dead Hi-Gain?

Post by imnoone »

I bought a hi-gain p'up on eBay that the owner claimed was 'functional'. When I got it, it was in terrible shape and the 'hot' wire snapped off at the hole in the body. I took off the tape to get to it and in doing so, a few of the windings came apart. Is this p'up now dead and in need of a re-winding?

'A few of the windings came apart'. How do you mean? Did you actually break the wire?

Yes, the wires are broken. Fortunately, the seller has agreed to take it back.
