Chord Finder

Post by winston »

This maybe a useful site for those of you who need to find an alternative way to play a certain chord, or you just want to refresh your memory.

Here's a cool site. Enter the scale you're playing and it will tell you what key(s) it's in.

Fun. At last night's funk jam I was feeling a little sporty so I got the guys started on a lick in this scale: C Db E F G Ab B C. No other notes were allowed, and it sounded really interesting.

Keep in mind this was drumset, bass, guitar, keys(piano sound), congas, and alto sax. Apparently it was C Byzantine, or Double Harmonic, or Hungarian Gypsy Persian.

Too cool! Too many times I just bluff it when I can't remember the correct way to play certain chords.... this will help, LOL!
