How many of these C-Series prototypes WERE there? I count 5 so far...

With a maple body? Hmmm. I'd be interested to know that myself.

I don't believe these were really prototypes but have been refered to as "test bodies". There are ten that I know of. Some were maple and some were alder. There is at least one with an alder body and a maple back. Two of the ten are 12 string models! Many of these special guitars are owned by members here.

Two twelves, really? Wouldn't have thought. Thanks for the info,Kevin. The natural Mapleglo bodies look nice.

Only one of the ten was finished in Mapleglo. In addition, there were three Fireglo, three Montezuma Brown, and three Blue Boys.

Here are links to pics of the Fireglo 12 string that Mike Parks had:

This one has an alder body with flame maple back.

The Fireglo on the Alder is way more stunning in person than on my monitor. The Alder gives it a nice warmth in the center burst.
