Re: ORAC ’09 - Ontario Rickenbacker Appreciation Confluence
A week to go!
Hotel is booked (thanks Steve). Now to spiff up the babies, program the GPS and arrange to pick up the dancing girls for the long drive... why... I hear the Everly Brothers playing in the background.
I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone again, and many for the first time. See you soon.

Re: ORAC ’09 - Ontario Rickenbacker Appreciation Confluence
OK folks, here are the final details. Doors open at 1pm, Saturday June 6 at Coll Audio (3595 St. Clair Ave. East Toronto), and we'll go until we don't wanna go no more. Coll Audio is a bit tricky to find, so I used my mad computer skillz to make this map:
Coming off of St. Clair, you need to come around the back to the loading dock (X marks the spot).
We'll have some general refreshments available, but if you're interested in bring your own adult beverages, that's cool (there is a fridge available). Other than that, we'll have display space and a jam room available. If you have any tunes you'd like to do, a lyrics sheet with chords might be useful.
A "pay what you can" donation would be appreciated ($10 would be great) to cover a few costs. Once again, this event is open to any RRF members including family and friends.
Hope to see you there!

Good idea to include the map, Steve. When Dean and I arrived in '06 we were driving around what looked like a semi-abandoned industrial lot!!
Have a great time.

Thanks Howard - we're starting early this time so the beer stores will still be open!
Re: ORAC ’09 - Ontario Rickenbacker Appreciation Confluence
I'll have a few "in absentia", Steve!!
If I had my wits about me I would have sent you a cardboard cutout to stand by the fridge!

Steve:
Yes, I saw that picture! Well can't say that they don't have a sense of humour! Looks like there are keyboards there too, perhaps I'll tinkle on the ivorys a bit too.
Looking forward to finally meeting up...

Captive audience included?
All I wanna do is rock!
Re: ORAC ’09 - Ontario Rickenbacker Appreciation Confluence
Howard; you and Dean were following me and I had not been there before, I'd been to his old place, which was right behind my speaker recone guy, so, not only am I blind, look at what you were following. I do have to send my regards for the event as I have to spend and evening with the wonderful jazz piano player, Carol Welsman, and her trio, it will be musically great, Steve, please send my regards to Craig, and I do wish I could be there...but in the next three yrs maybe.......R
Re: ORAC ’09 - Ontario Rickenbacker Appreciation Confluence
Sorry to hear you can't make it Richard - I'll pass along your regards to Craig.
One more day to go folks!

Hmm... not sure Craig would like you tinkling anyplace other than in the facilities there Brian. Come to think of it, according to his rehearsal room photo, you may not have a choice...Ontario_RIC_fan wrote:Steve:
