Very cool, thanks for sharing. On a related note, a friend I worked with in my last job is from Moscow, and she had an animated clip of an American visiting Russia and trying to order chicken wings at a McDonalds.

It had to be one of the funniest things I've ever watched--she had to translate for me--but I was in tears laughing so hard....

A coupla more, both about toys, but...
The Old Toy (almost no words - the kids are simply talking about how cute and new the new toy is)

A Live Toy
The girl's singing about how bored she is with her "still" toys that do not walk and do not talk and how she wants a real, living breathing toy. And then...

'Hedgehog in the Fog' is a longtime favorite of mine. In fact, its style has serves to partly inspire a children's book I'm working on. Those textures!

Noel, you're writing/illustrating a book for children? That is very interesting indeed. When will we be able to see it (if it's not a secret, of course)?

Thanks Sheena! It's no secret. I'm doing the storyboards now. It's a modern fable tentatively entitled The Wolf and the Wren.

A very talented artist had agreed to work with me on the illustrations. I sent her a copy of 'Hedgehog in the Fog' to give her some ideas.

One more

Plot: it's Little Raccoon's birthday, and his mom asks him to go to the pond to collect some sweet ling. The monkey he meets tells him there's a scary monster living in the pond... and then advises him to scare the monster with a stick. But Raccoon's mom advises to go to the pond and smile to the monster... and see what will happen.
The song's about how sharing a smile helps making life nicer and warmer, and making friends as well.
