I'm using a Carr Vincent (Viceroy) with my 330 these days. Its a sweet sound for sure.

My current favourite is my 1960 Fender Twin-Amp, one of the very first tolex twins (serial no. 20).
It's pictured next to my 1961 reverb unit (again, an early one: they started at R00100 and this is R00111) and my lightly modded  1954 Gretsch Duo Jet.

Cool combination there, Tommy!

It's a great combo! Sounds excellent with my Jazzmaster too, as I'm sure you can imagine.
It sounds pretty good with my 430 too, it's just lacking something because of the silly bridge.

That shows a few more of my amps, a 5e3 tweed Deluxe clone I built and a 22W version of the '63 Fender Vibroverb I made.

Tommy, I had a '60 or '61 Pro (JBL 1-15") in chocolate brown Tolex and a '64 reverb unit, that I used with my '69 Jazzmaster. All sadly traded years ago...classic surf sound.

Very surfy indeed! You can do a lot with these setups though, it's all in how you approach them. I think versatility is in the mind and in the intent of the player, not in the equipment.
Still got the Jazzmaster?

Not that particular block inlay model. It went to Switzerland!

But I've got a few JMs now (All CIJ) and a couple of Jags...along with a reissue reverb and a '66 Dual Showman...

Here's the same rig with my CIJ Jazzmaster. I put an AVRI tortoise pickguard on it last night so it's a little different.
Gotta love those Japanese Fenders.

Did your old JM have blocks and binding?

Oh, yes, it did. And it was Coral Pink, too...wish I had good pics of it, but this was all before I got a digital camera, and then it was just too much trouble to keep film lying about.

Perhaps the only one anywhere! I've never seen another. Shame you don't have photos.
