Fender Jaguar Bass

Post by lovecity »

Played on of these tonight. Didn't think I would like it and really did. Would love to hear one with a set of flats.

Anyone have any experience with these? Please share!

A friend of mine recently picked one up, in Fiesta Red.

As usual with Fender Japan----I was super impressed.

Excellent build quality, playability and sound. Plus, I like the design---it really does look like a bass that CBS-era Fender would have produced (as they were already making the Mustang/Musicmaster basses, and the Fender VI).

A local shop had a couple of new Jaguar basses on sale at quite a good price, and I went with the intention of picking one up. Typical great Japanese Fender fit and finish, but when I strapped one on, the neck dive was terrible! Needless to say, I left Jag-less.

If any of you pick one of these up or have one, I've got a set of strings for you. I accidentially purchased a set of D-Addario Chromes in medium scale rather than long scale. I started to wind the E string and then took it off, but there's plenty to work with on the E. The other three remain as new. Let me know.
Can we have everything louder than everything else?

A friend of mine has had one fo these for a year now, he's very impressed with it. Strung it with a set of Rotosound .45's and it's his go to bass. He's a mostly slap bassist, too, so I figured the Jag would be good for him.

Guitar Center reduced their prices on these to $549.00 new, so I've heard but never looked into it.

Looks like a very cool bass no doubt.

But it has one of those J-bass necks on it! :P
The JETGLO finish name should be officially changed to JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

I picked up a Sunburst one at Guitar Center for $549. It plays and sounds great. I wish it had a P Bass width neck on it though.
