Do '72 Toasters have more out put than '68s?
I just wonder because my Electro ES-17 is louder than my 365 so I have to change my amp settings when I go from on to the other. It is louder than either pickup in the 365 in any setting in any input of my Fender amp. It's not a problem,I was just curious if this was because of the pickups or the difference between the semi hollow and a solidbodys. They both sound very different.

Its the one I bought from you.I found out yesterday mine was made in January 1972. I didn't know before because the original bridge with the serial number is gone but yesterday I found pictures of my guitar in the Rickenbacker Resource Register . It's unmistakable because of the wear. I told Peter about it and he agreed that it is the same guitar.sloop_john_b wrote:Mitch, where did you get '72 from?

See above.I edited my post. Now we have it's birth certificate: LA051. This is why the Register is such a valuable resourse.

You are correct Mitch, that is the same guitar. I recognize those photos as they were sent to me by the previous owner. He sold me the guitar without the bridge and could never remember the exact year when I asked him.
'72 was a good year...
