Oh, yeah. That one went to Phillipp Linnaart (sp?) in the Netherlands shortly after the 2006 Milwaukee confluence.

I'm not sure if it's that particular bass, mine got a white trc and pickguard(i bought a black pickguard afterwards).bassduke49 wrote:Oh, yeah. That one went to Phillipp Linnaart (sp?) in the Netherlands shortly after the 2006 Milwaukee confluence.
I've never experienced a better transaction through internet than buying a bass from you. It was perfection itself.

Yes, Phillip, that was it. (Sorry for messing up your last name.) I had offered it to you with the reveresed TRC and pickguard, but you wanted it back to original, which I did. That was a smooth transaction!

Re: Milwaukee! June 11-12 2011
Here's an update and hotel information on the upcoming Milwaukee event. We're on for Saturday and Sunday, June 11 and 12 for the Milwaukee Area Rickenbacker Confluence (MARC). It will be held in the Community Room at Waterstone Bank, 6560 S. 27th Street, Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Hours will be from 12:30pm Saturday until bedtime, then Sunday 10:00am until everyone is gone. I'll bring along a couple of small amps and as much of the "Rickenbacker National Forest" as I can stuff into my buddy's capped pickup truck. There is no official jam session at any other venue planned, but I'm sure there will be lots of opportunity to play your favorite Ricks at the venue. I'm hoping that Gary Halbeck of Northcoast Music will appear, and maybe some other surprises.
The hours start just after banking hours (a condition of the use of the room) so it seems a late start on Saturday. However, the room is large enough (roughly 50' x 20') with adequate lighting, a nearby elevator (the room is in the basement), and best of all, it's free! Please bring stands for each of the instruments you plan to display. I'll have about 10 tables set around the perimeter of the room so we can elevate the displays.
It doesn't appear that there will be enough folks attending who need overnight accommodations to warrant a group rate at one particular hotel, so I'm just going to give you these options and you can make your own arrangements for room needs and prices. All of the following hotels are approximately 1.5 miles from the bank, near the intersection of College Avenue and S. 13th Street, right off of I-94, and about two miles from Mitchell International Airport (for those flying in). Many if not all offer airport shuttle service, too, if that is how you are arriving.

Maybe we should try to coordinate motel rooms to facilitate out-of-MARC schmoozing?

They are all within walking distance of each other, so getting together should be easy.
Also, restaurants are plentiful, with a Chili's directly across the street from the bank, and several other places nearby.

Thanks Paul for the great info. I may try and drive/fly up from Alabama. Do airlines let you carry on your vintage Rickenbacker? I've always wanted to visit Milwaukee. I'm fairly new to this, but have enjoyed it thus far.
