So how exactly will the feds prove the wood came from the Dreamworks studios?
Re: Gibson raided, AGAIN
Is something going on, or did they just get someone in the government mad at them? Seems like it would be phenomenally stupid of them to keep doing this sort of thing after the last time, but you never know...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Re: Gibson raided, AGAIN
As far as I know, Gibson is still trying to recover the wood that was confiscated a few years ago by the feds as they claim it is legal.
Also, in other reports, it is stated that this raid was linked to a case in Texas, but does not elaborate. There was also some mention in a story about 'Only Indian workers being allowed to work on Indian wood'?

I went to a Mexican restaurant in China and the cooks were all Chinese. I went to an Italian restaurant in Japan and the cooks were all Japanese. Oh wait- you forgot that California was Mexico not so long ago.jps wrote:We used to go to a Chinese restaurant in Santa Monica where all the cooks were Mexican............
Gibson made the national news tonight with this. Judging from what the media is saying, I think perhaps this time the feds are probably after a wood importer in Texas and Gibson is collateral damage. Anyway, I'm sure we'll all know what's going on soon enough.
There's a video clip and a press release here :

Re: Gibson raided, AGAIN
Henry mentions that in the past 2 years Gibson has hired 580 American workers; I wonder how many of those were hired to expand their workforce vs. replacements for others who have left in the past 2 years?
