??? Nah. The barrels will do nicely. Enough about this guitar is un-Casino-y, that the knobs aren't the dealbreaker!
I'm just not a speed knob guy.
Ivan scores points for knowing they're called speed knobs, not barrels

No, it has the mark of Z on it!

If you only could read my mind... hah hah... not saying anything!

Maybe instead of a 'prototype,' it was more of an 'audition'???? Just a random late night drunken thought.

J, just change your name to Terry Rogers and you'll not only have your own masterbuilt Epiphone signature guitar, but it will also confuse police trying to track you down for unpaid parking tickets across state lines! :)
Great Ramp In My Opinion.

Hi Guys,

I just bought (last night) this guitar that you are talking about! After hours of searching online to try and find out what it actually is I came across this thread.
I live in London and found this guitar on a classified ads website and thought it looked great but now I am starting to think it’s a fake. What do you think? Is it real or not? And who is this Terry Rogers chap?

Tom.

UPDATE! I took this guitar to a local shop to get an opinion. The owner, quite the expert, immediately recognized it. Apparently there are a lot of companies around Tennessee that buy up "seconds" from Gibson and Epiphone, refurb them and sell 'em. If you look really close at the back of the headstock, you can see dimples where they lacquered very heavily to fill in the typical Gibson "USED" stamp. He suspects this one was a second because the neck angle was wrong, requiring routing to sink the neck pickup low enough. Also, the f-hole funky placement would coincide with the errors found on such a guitar. I think we may be able to close the case on this one! Shout out to Matt at Action Music in Falls Church for being very knowledgeable, friendly, and all around great to work with. I, as always, recommend them highly. No affiliation other than being a very happy customer!
