Are you saying that John recorded their bass lines???? I HAVE suspected that Stu played lines that John wrote out, but, it never occured to me that John could have actually played/recorded them..........

I don't know for sure, but I heard a rumor once that Fogerty was pretty controlling later on in the band (at least until Mardis Gras). It wouldn't surprise me if he did most of the guitars.
